A Special Place
Nativity of Our Lord School, an integral part of a total Roman Catholic Parish community, aims to provide quality education for students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Religion, the core of the curriculum, emphasizes moral and spiritual values which permeate every aspect of the total instructional program.
Achievement, consistent with a student’s academic potential, is second only to the development of those character traits that typify Christian ladies and gentlemen, as well as informed, law-abiding citizens.
Participation in sports and co-curricular activities is encouraged and fostered at all levels.
Nativity of Our Lord was founded in 1909 by the Sisters of Saint Francis. In that first year, forty students were taught in the one building that contained the Church, school and convent. Fr. Crimmens was the first Pastor. The present school was built in 1958. The parish center which houses the gym was opened in 1992. In recent years, a new computer lab, art room and pre-Kindergarten classroom have been added along with a new main entrance and security system.
Parents are encouraged to be active participants in their child’s education and at Nativity, we expect it.
