Dear Friends of Nativity,
I truly hope that you are all doing well during these ever-changing and never certain days. As we move along in these days of the COVID-19 pandemic we can be thankful, with every day that passes, we are closer to normal living. I hope you are all able to spend meaningful time with your family, and are taking the necessary precautions to stay healthy. Please be sure you are staying active mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. We will be in this situation for a very long period of time and staying active will help us all to grow and be better and stronger people after this is all over. There is still no timetable of when we will be returning to our “normal lives” until we do, we need to take great care of ourselves and our loved ones.
-I have been in constant contact with the faculty of Nativity during our days away from school. We have had a few faculty meetings via Zoom web conferencing. When we meet we discuss strategies that are currently being used to educate the students and how we can adjust and introduce new classroom technologies to continue our already solid educational program. Our younger classroom teachers have mentioned that their students are engaged, working well and are completing the assignments that have been assigned. Our junior high teachers are very impressed and happy with the progress the students are making and the comfort level the students have when they are communicating directly with the teachers.
There have been a few concerns that we are looking to correct regarding some limitations with the Junior High school-issued Chromebooks. If we need any further assistance, from the students or the parents regarding the Chromebooks, we will be certain to reach out to you.
-Please be sure to visit the Nativity of Our Lord School Orchard Park Facebook page. Feel free to tag or message your Warrior son or daughter as they go about their school day. Also, you have free unlimited access to the daily prayers, announcements and words of wisdom from Mr. Gardon each and every day!
Thank you all for your support and commitment to Nativity of Our Lord School.
Please stay safe and healthy and God bless you all.
Sincerely in Christ,
Christopher Gardon, Principal
