Dear Parents,

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you, and your families, had a restful and blessed Christmas. We are nearing the half-way point of the year and now is a good time to remind your children of the importance of staying dedicated to their learning. Nativity students need to continue to complete homework, classroom assignments and consistently review notes and information from their day. Following these simple steps will allow students to earn the best grades they can. Also, the importance of daily school attendance should not be overlooked. Please be certain to get your children to school on time and daily. Unless a child is ill they should be present for school.

-Parents of families that are anticipating enrolling a child in Pre-K for the 2019-2020 school year please contact the main office-662-7572. Enrollment for Pre-K typically fills-up quickly and we would like to assure that our current families get a spot in the program.

-The Joe DeMarco Basketball Tournament is schedule for late January (more details to follow). School family support of the event is always important. Funds raised by the event help provide various items around the school. In the past the Joe DeMarco funds have purchased classroom technology, physical education equipment, classroom items and most recently were used for the painting of the gym and the new pads, on the walls, in the gym.
This year the Joe DeMarco Committee would like your help with the sponsorship of the event. If the committee is able to raise $5000.00 for the sponsorship of the event students, faculty, staff and principals will not have school on Monday February 4, 2019! (Convenient, that it is the day after the Super Bowl, hmmm…) I hope you will all attend some of the great basketball that is played during the tournament and also, help with the sponsorship.

-Congratulations to our Nativity 5th grade students. All students have successfully completed their DARE education classes and will graduate, from DARE, on Friday January 11th at 12:00 in the Msgr. Beasley Center.

-A special edition of the Family Folder will be sent home next Wednesday January 16th. In the folder will be re-enrollment paperwork for the 2019-2020 school year. All completed paperwork needs to be returned to the Main Office by March 1st.

-Winter reading and math benchmark screenings for grades K-4 will be administered during the month of January.

-Junior High parents, please note: Progress Reports will be sent home on Friday February 1, not January 25th.

-Congratulations to Mrs. Nirelli on the birth of her son Noah Michael Nirelli, he was born December 20, 2018. He weighed 8lbs 3 oz and was 18 7/8 inches long.
