HSA Monthly Meeting Schedule: January 19, February 16, March 16, April 20, and May 18. Meetings run from 7-8 p.m. and are held on the first floor of the school (Room 113).
The HSA performs two primary functions: fundraising and enrichment. HSA’s fundraising efforts account for 17% of the school’s budget. Those funds provide support for ski club, athletic teams, sports night and more. HSA also puts on the events at the school that provide a sense of community and fellowship like the Back to School BBQ, Special Persons Lunch, Halloween Party, and other family events.
Our annual events are listed below. As we finalize the chairs, details and dates for these, we’ll update them here. Please check back often!
Please watch your email for opportunities to volunteer for all the events that make a Nativity education more fulfilling for our students.
Elves’ Magic Workshop (Co-chairs: Cheryl Zak, Kelly Friedman, RJ Friedman)
- Held during the school day, students can shop and purchase Christmas gifts for family and loved ones. Most items run between $3 and $10.
Holiday Teacher & Staff Luncheon (Chairs: Homeroom Parents)
- Prior to Christmas break, the homeroom parents organize a luncheon to show our appreciation.
School Open House (Co-chairs: Tara Hart-Nova and team)

Scrip: Gift cards to major national and local retailers are sold year-round. When you buy one, you receive the full value of the card, and a percentage of the value is donated to Nativity. Gift cards may be purchased online at shopwithscrip.com, in person at the school on Tuesday mornings, or sent home with your children.
Box Tops: Save all of those Box Tops! We collect Box Tops throughout the school year.
Snack Shack: We work to run the concession stand in the gym for most sporting events. Co-chairs are responsible for stocking the stand with donated food and beverages, setting prices, and scheduling volunteers.
Athletic Directors: These parent volunteers teach skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship while promoting school spirit. In addition to organizing the coaching staff, the Athletic Directors assist with the organization of the Joe DeMarco Basketball Tournament (January-February), which funds our sports teams. The Athletic Directors also help with the year-end sports banquet.
Homeroom Parents: Homeroom parents work with their respective teachers to plan support for field trips, classroom activities, and special events for the school year. Elementary grades have two homeroom parents; junior high grades have one. Homeroom parents also coordinate gifts for teachers during the holidays and at the end of the school year.
EmbroidMe Nativity Gear: You can order official Nativity sweatshirts, sweaters, hats, bags and more from EmbroidMe. They give 5% of the proceeds back to the school! Any items ordered will be delivered to the school office within 2-3 weeks and sent home with your student. Other delivery arrangements can be made (if, for example, the item is a gift for your student) by contacting EmbroidMe directly at (716) 842-2600.
